In 2007 nearly 1200 wines from 8 countries were evaluated by 21
wine professionals over 2 days. Judges awarded 81 gold, 255 silver,
and 362 bronze medals. With entries from as far away as New Zealand
and South Africa, the Monterey Wine Competition has become a global
event.
