Monterey County Film Commission's 20th Anniversary Gala
Celebrate 20 years of the Monterey County Film Commission at a
gala event that salutes big band supper clubs and the golden age
of Hollywood style! This special evening includes dinner, celebrity
surprises, and dancing to the music of Wally’s Swing World.
The All American Boys Chorus at Wild Things
The 32-voice ensemble, whose members range from 9-14 years old,
have performed to standing ovations all over the world to include
Russia, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Italy and Japan. They have
entertained and appeared with such artists and dignitaries as
Bob Hope, Tony Bennet, Victor Borge, former Presidents Nixon,
Ford, Carter, Reagan, and Bush. Their performance this evening
promises to be unlike any other with tunes from West Side Story,
The Music Man, Lion King, Dixieland and Jazz. An added Wild Things
twist will guarantee an extremely unique performance. All Proceeds
Benefit EARS! Seating is limited.

11th Annual Great Wine Escape Weekend
Celebrate the splendor of the vendange ( grape harvest
) at various Monterey County wineries and restaurants as they
roll out the red carpet for a weekend of self-guided and narrated

Just Run! Just Kids 3K
Monterey- Custom House Plaza
A new event that promotes exercise and fitness for our children
and youth. All participants of the 3K fun run will receive a finisher’s
medallion and a unique aquatic theme t-shirt. Following the event,
there will be activities and demonstrations and drawing for lots
of exciting prizes! Sponsored by the Community Hospital of the
Monterey Peninsula and the City of Monterey
Big Sur Half Marathon and Run Forrest Run 5K
Two fun-filled events for runners at all levels. The Big Sur Half
Marathon begins and ends in downtown Monterey, taking in Cannery
Row and Pacific Grove along the way. The "Run Forrest Run
5K" is sponsored by Bubba Gump's restaurant, complete with
entertainment along the course.
"The History of the Stevenson House"
Celebrate the "Unbirthday" of Robert Louis Stevenson
with an interesting look at Monterey's historic "Stevenson
House", by Stevenson scholar and biographer Roger Swearingen.
The lecture will be followed by an "unbirthday" cake
courtesy of the RLS Club of Monterey. For ages 16-up. Admission
is free, but reservations are required.

The Callaway Golf Pebble Beach Invitational has long claimed a

from the PGA, the LPGA, the Champions, and Nationwide Tours in

Comedian Larry Wilde stars in this one-man show about life in
comedy … and comedy in life. This not-to-be-missed play,
based on Larry’s remarkable career and life, will be held
at the Carl Cherry Center for the Arts.
Star Gazing Party
Carmel Valley - Garland Ranch
Free star party for the general public.Join astronomers from the
Monterey Institute of Research & Astronomy (MIRA) and the
Santa Cruz Astronomy Club for a fun-filled evening exploring the
night sky. Be sure to wear warm clothing and bring a flashlight.
Hot drinks and cookies will be provided. Of course, rain, fog,

13th Annual Cannery Row Christmas Tree Lighting

"Snow on the Row." Annual tree lighting, caroling and
arrival of Santa Claus. a on the Row. The event begins at 3 p.m.
with dancing and music in Bubba Gump Plaza, with the tree lighting
ceremony at 6 p.m.Ceremony is free and open to the public, with
free parking at the Cannery Row garage at Foam and Wave streets
between 5 and 9 p.m
“Miracle on Del Monte Center”
It's holiday time and guess who's coming to town…not only
for photos with his fans, but to star in a fabulously festive
musical of merriment? Santa takes center stage in “Santastic!
Santa’s Fantastic Musical Revue” and proves why he
gets to wear the big red suit! In this most enjoyable presentation,
Santa leads four elves in songs, stories and dances retelling
the most beloved scenes and melodies. The audience will be invited
to join in a holiday sing-along before Santa heads to his Workshop.
All kids who visit Santa in his workshop on November 23rd will
receive a pair of plush antlers.

27th Annual Big Sur Harvest & Craft Fair
A unique collection of Artists of Big Sur and their friends from
the outlying areas who craft or practice their arts the year around.
The show starts off the night before with a "bring-a-dish"
potluck which gives this show (gathering) a family feeling. Some
think this is a throw back to the sixties, but if you were alive
in the sixties you’ll know it wasn’t this good.

MY Museum's Canned Food Drive
MY Museum is thrilled to host a canned food drive for the Monterey
County Food Bank. Bring in 1 can of non-perishable food and receive
$1.50 off admission with every can donated. Maximum 1 can per
person, not valid on Tuesdays. Our 2,700 square foot facility
is filled with hands on exhibits to be explored and enjoyed, whether
for the first time or the hundredth. Location: 601 Wave Street

City Christmas Tree Lighting
F estivities at Jewell Park include live entertainment by school
bands and choruses, followed by caroling and refreshments at Chautauqua
Hall and Santa’s first visit! .
Holiday Parade of Lights
Salinas - Steinbeck Library
Kick off your holidays at the 7th Annual Holiday Parade of Lights,
a family and community delight attracting 10,000 spectators and
80 Parade Entrants from marching bands, floats, dancers, walking
groups, and classic cars. The route winds up South Main Street
and through Oldtown to the National Steinbeck Center. Celebrity
announcers keep you well informed.
Carmel Holiday Tree Lighting
Annual holiday celebration, tree lighting and entertainment. Held
on Ocean Ave and Devendorf Park at 5 PM.
