We’re located in the magnificent West End Building in the heart of Sand City’s glittering Theater District. “The Great White Way West,” as locals like to call it. Not to be confused with Sand City’s Lower East Side — home to ramshackle big boxes, fast food operations, and of course, a tawdry red light district — the West End is a bustling mix of high-rises, first-run movie theaters, antiquarian booksellers, art museums, and haute couture boutiques. Here, on any given night, one can find Hollywood glitterati, British airline magnates, Sicilian fishermen, and interior designers in the federal witness protection program hobnobbing together at any of the city’s world-famous sidewalk cafes.

So take the “A” train (we have a fairly underrated subway system), call your travel agent, book a room, stay a while. We’re closer than the Caribbean, prettier than Bulgaria, cheaper than Paris, safer than Baghdad. And conveniently located on your way to load up on unnecessary plastic items* at Target.**

And don’t forget our motto:

* Speaking of plastic items, since we’re located in the old Couroc factory building (where they made black bakelite plastic serving trays for decades), we are looking for donations of old Couroc trays (check that dusty box in the corner of your attic) to put on display in the cafe. Just bring that one your mom left you and let us buy you a free drink or two.
